Who am I

Sport is a field where every aspect of a personality – leadership skills, teamwork, perseverance, endurance, mental and physical strength and many more are put to test. Viren Rasquinha did not only possess these qualities but also successfully brought them to play and went on to become the Captain of the Indian Hockey Team.

Someone to have chased his dream of becoming a hockey player, Viren played 180 international matches for India including the Athens Olympics 2004 and also won the prestigious Arjuna Award for Hockey in 2005. Viren decided to retire at the peak of his career and pursue management from ISB, Hyderabad. With his wish to win the Olympic medal for the Indian Hockey Team left unfulfilled, now as the CEO of Olympic Gold Quest (OGQ) – a Not-for-Profit organisation started by legends Geet Sethi and Prakash Padukone that looks after the training of Olympic athletes – Viren dreams to win Olympic gold medals for Indian by training young talents.

Viren speaks on various platforms where he shares examples and experiences of his life to motivate people to achieve their goals, on the importance and art of teamwork and on how to adapt with the changing environment to emerge a true winner.
